FAQ
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Please expect to spend approximately 1 hour in our office for your child’s first visit. It will consist of a review of your child’s medical and dental histories, including a review of your child’s diet and nutrition. This will be followed by a comprehensive dental exam and any necessary dental images.
A professional dental cleaning and fluoride application is also performed at this visit. The information we gather will allow us to recommend the best options for your child’s oral health care.
Along with traditional dental care, we offer treatment with nitrous oxide and complete oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia in an outpatient surgery center.
If your child is 3 or under we will do what we call a “knee-to-knee” examination where the child sits on a parent’s lap while the doctor examines his or her teeth. It is an introductory method to help children get comfortable in their new dental home.
