COVID-19 Safety Update

To Our Lincoln Children's Dentistry Family,

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

We want to continue to be cautious and keep our patients and team safe. With that being said, you will notice many changes to our day-to-day processes. We wanted to make you aware so you are not surprised. Below is a list of changes to ensure we are following the recommended guidelines.

Guidelines

  • Our office will communicate with you before your child’s appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • We ask that you and your child wear a mask upon entry into our office.
  • Hand sanitizer will be located at the front. Parent/patients will apply hand sanitizer up to their elbows upon entry.
  • We will be administering temperatures on all patients. If your child has a fever over 100.3, we will reschedule you to a later date.
  • We ask that the parent walks their child in, then makes their payment, schedules the next visit and then waits in their car. If paperwork needed see below.
  • Paperwork is advised to be done online through the Modento App. If the paperwork is not done, the parent will take their paperwork to their car, fill out the forms and then return the forms to the front desk. We will disinfect the pen and clipboard after each use.
  • We ask that only the patient comes to the clinic area for their appointment, any other family members please wait in the car. You may also watch your child from the outside through any of our clinic windows. Children 3 and under will be accompanied through their appointment by one parent or legal guardian.
  • If Dr. Scott finds new treatment, the child’s parent will be texted and asked to come in to schedule the next visit.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • We ask that you call us at least 24 hours in advance if you have been sick with a cough, sore throat or fever. The cancellation fee will be waived.
  • Toys have been removed from the reception area.
  • As standard protocol in a dental office, we will continue to use U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved disinfectants for cleaning, comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and follow Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations.
  • Please download the Modento App for updated communication.

Our team is dedicated to taking care of you and your family and we will continue to communicate any changes. We appreciate your patience during this time of uncertainty for all of us.  Additionally, if your circumstances have changed and you no longer have dental insurance benefits, please call our office with any benefit changes and we will discuss your options.

Thank you for being part of our dental family!  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
